Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everybody! Tomorrow is the big day it's finally here! I love this time of the year. There's so many great little things you can do to decorate your home for guests. Just don't let these little things overwhelm you!

I ran into a beautiful idea for some candlestick holders. They are so easy to make and they will give your table a wonderful touch! Get creative with your carve designs!

Apple Candlesticks

This unusual table centerpiece is ephemeral -- but it's beautiful while it lasts.

MATERIALS:
Large Rome Beauty apples (that will stand straight on the table)
Candles
Waxed paper
Potato peeler
Lemon juice
Time needed: Under 1 Hour

1. Using an apple corer, make a hole about halfway through the middle of an apple. Make the hole as straight as possible and remove the core piece. 2. Insert a candle into the hole. It should fit tightly; if the hole is too large, wrap waxed paper around the candle's end. 3. Older kids can decorate the apples by carefully carving designs in the skins with the tip of a potato peeler (to prevent the designs from turning brown, rub them with lemon juice). 4. Arrange the candleholders in a circle on a plate or cutting board.

Are you in need of a quick classicly beautiful centerpiece? Here's an easy one.
Go outside and take a breath of fresh air, gather any sticks or twigs, some beautifully colored leaves, a bowl, and some cranberries. If you have pine cones add those to! Set your candle in the center of the bowl and arrange all your outside goodies around the candle. There it is instant tasteful natural festive centerpiece!

I will be posting shortly about the blogs I mentioned below. I apologize for the delay, but I'm sure it's understood since it is Thanksgiving!!! I will have the next 4 days off from my day job. I'll be able to get a lot done so be sure to check back!!!! Be safe and have a wonderful day!!!!!
Gobble Gobble!!!!
